Hi! Today we would like to introduce you to our first roadmap on what is planned for 2024. Here you will find info about our plans for the Arctium App, sandboxes and other tools/services.

WildStar

First the most important thing we want to mention!

While we currently do not have a proper roadmap to WildStar server development it's worth to mention that we did not forget you and still plan to work on a fully featured server.

The client and our sandbox(es) for exploration are still available on our website.

Arctium App

Currently the Arctium App is still in it's first Alpha version. We have some cool features and improvements for you in the pipeline!

The general goal is to get our first 3 previews out with a bunch of new features & design.

Preview 1

Available on or before April 24, 2024.

Features

• Microsoft Store release.

  This will be the only way to install the new Arctium App.

• New App design (dark mode only).

• App Gallery ("store") with at least 2 products: iMorph, Arctium Mod Launcher

• Mod Gallery for WoW server game mods (only official servers).

  This feature might be moved to Preview 2.

• New mod manager for non mod gallery shipped mods.

• Addon manager for WoW: Only a few chosen addons required to "fix" mod bugs, iMorph, ...

  Full release in Preview 2 or 3.

Preview 2

Available on or before August 15, 2024

Features

• App design improvements, including light mode.

• Extended App Gallery with more products, categories & better management.

• Mod Gallery for WoW server game mods (only official servers).

• First version of an "App Publisher" website.

  This feature might be moved to Preview 3.

• First version of a "Mod Publisher" website.

  This feature might be moved to Preview 3.

• First version of an "Addon Publisher" website.

  This feature might be moved to Preview 3.

• Addon manager for WoW: Github support for addons to test the most popular Addons.

  This feature might be moved to Preview 3.

• Other improvements depending on user feedback.

Preview 3

Available on or before November 30, 2024

Arctium Launchers for WoW

There are a bunch of improvements planned for our game launchers. That includes the mod launcher and the custom server launcher.

There are no release date for those improvements/features!!!

Mod launcher

First preview release available on or before December 31, 2024

Features

• Auto updates to prevent wait times on new game builds.

  Not later than Arctium App Preview 2.

• Possible time limited offline version or locally patched game exe.

  This will require an account on our new service system.

• Improved "anti cheat" functionality.

• Dynamic file whitelists/blacklists.

• macOS support (ARM only)

Some basic parts are being released earlier than more complicated parts.

Custom Server Launcher

First preview release available on or before December 31, 2024

Features

• Improved user experience.
• Auto update function.
• Release as product in the Arctium App including configuration for server profiles & other settings.
• Patcher mode: Allows to patch the game exe instead of using the Launcher.

Some basic parts are being released earlier than more complicated parts.

Arctium Sandbox for WoW

We are proud to announce a comeback of our lovely Sandbox for WoW this year! No annoying SaaS version. You will get your fully local versions again.

First preview release available on or before December 31, 2024

Features

• Support for Dragonflight.

  First release supports 10.2.5 or 10.2.6.

• Support for all Classic branches.

  First release supports 1.15.1 & 3.4.3.

• Support for Classic Cata beta.

• Support for The War Within alpha/beta.

• Support for older builds.

• Update functionality.

• Basic scripting functionality.

• Local network/group support.

  You will be able to connect with multiple users but the amount will be limited. This won't be a server replacement.

• Release as product in the Arctium App

  Not later than Arctium App Preview 2.

Some basic parts are being released earlier than more complicated parts.

Other Tools & Services

Here you will find a list of other side projects we plan to release at least as an alpha version in 2024. Both, services and tools are included.

Arctium Tools

• DB2 Viewer including diffs & csv/json downloads.

• CDN file list with single file download options of original unmodified files (similar to old wow.tools).

  This might require an account on our new service system.

• Hotfix viewer.

More to be announced.

App/Standalone Tools

• Client Database (db2, wdb, bin) viewer & exporter.
• Equip Hide Tool.
• Replay Server.

WauWau Gaming

This project has the lowest priority and is done fully as a side project. We started with a Palworld server and plan to add more of those with different mods and servers for other games this year. Who knows... maybe we can do other cool things than game servers only at some point.

Support Us

Like everyone we have several costs to run servers, domains and other things. Here we would like give you the chance to support us and our work. It does not make our development faster or slower but it helps us covering the base costs.

For that we created a new Ko-fi goal to cover this yearly base cost that we except in 2024.

We made a little list to show you what causes the highest costs:

Internal server hosting/electricity:

• Average: 200 watts per hour
• Costs: 144000 * 0.32€ = ~46€ per month

In December 2023 we moved our biggest servers to in house hosting which saved us about 100€ per month but causes these electricity costs instead.

External server hosting

• Hetzner: ~35-40€ per month Depends on the need of more or less cloud machines.

Tools costs

• IDA Home: ~400€ per year

  Used to work with WoW exe files for mod support, etc. Also used for WildStar Reverse Engineering.

Code sign costs:

• Already covered by you for about 3 years <3

Paypal fees

• 10%, ~140€
