Arctium SaaS is now available!

Hello Arctium Community!

Let's just assume we count in valve time, then we're probably still within our initial estimated release date.

Anyhow, regardless on how you count time, we want to introduce you to Arctium SaaS!

Arctium what?

The SaaS or Sandbox as a Service is a service we provide for our users in order to allow them to run their own sandbox on our infrastructure. We host it and you explore.

It allows for the usual limited activities you were able to do on previous sandboxes like exploring Zones and check out fancy new models and mounts for example.

Be aware that the SaaS is not a fully fledged private server. Don't expect raiding new raids with your friends on the SaaS. You can see the SaaS as a world and model viewer using the unmodified game client.

How do i get in?

You need to visit saas.arctium.io. You can login through your discord account and create a sandbox from the dashboard.

The dashboard provides more informations about additional requirements and how to connect to your sandbox.

A note on the maturity of this project

The SaaS is still very young and we haven't implemented many QoL features yet. You will run into errors if a new wow build came out and the sandbox isn't updated yet, for example. We're working on a way to let you know through the dashboard that the sandbox needs an update.

Also don't expect a 100% bugfree, crashfree and hasslefree experience. We're working hard on improving stability and ease of use, but this is an ongoing process.

Long term goals

Long term goals of this service is to build a platform which we can use to easily provide you with on-demand sandboxes in the future with as few clicks as possible.

We would also like to explore the possibility to add more features to the SaaS in the future, maybe with tailored offerings for content creators and power users.

Enough talk! Have fun exploring and happy sandboxing!
