A change to our planned paid plans

Some of you knew we had plans for a paid Arctium model. Mostly for the Arctium App, the Mod Launcher and its features. We've decided to put the planned Arctium Pro model on hold and give community support through Ko-fi a proper try instead.

The plan for Arctium was to eventually have three tiers: Free, Pro and Pro Plus. The Free tier would always remain available, with some limitations, while the paid tiers would provide higher limits and additional features.

Throughout 2027, we won't introduce any paid tiers. Instead, we're going to see if community support through Ko-fi can make Arctium sustainable. If Ko-fi reaches and maintains a level that allows us to work on Arctium full time, we won't introduce Pro or Pro Plus at all. If it doesn’t, we’ll reassess how we want to approach things after 2027.

We've re-enabled Ko-fi and set a monthly goal to help make that possible. The goal isn't an all-or-nothing target, though. We know it's a lot to reach, and we're not expecting everyone to contribute. Even getting part of the way there already means more time we can put into Arctium.

We may also look into doing some special things for supporters and subscribers in our Discord, whether that's around tools, support, or other community perks. We don't can't promise anything, but it's something we'd like to do at some point.

Every bit of support helps us spend more time on Arctium. That means faster updates, better tooling, more features.

Recap of 'What's new?'

Arctium brings together MMO news, game modding and the Arctium App. We're already expanding the new website with things like Blue Post and Lodestone tracking, and you can follow the Blue Posts channel on the Arctium Discord to get those updates there too.
